The Red Shoes – Creative Team Announced
As the performance dates for the latest show by our very own norfox Young People’s Theatre Company looms ever nearer now seems a good time to introduce you to the creative team who will be helping the company create their new piece of work.
The show will be adapted and directed by Liz Postlethwaite, the Library Theatre Company’s Community and Education Director. “The Red Shoes” will be the fifth show that she has worked on with norfox and she is really excited about getting started. She will be supported Rosie Stuart who has also worked on five norfox shows, though this will be her last one for a while as she will be starting a Masters in Applied Theatre at the Central School of Speech and Drama in September.
The design for the show will be created by Lara Booth, working alongside lighting designer Tom Dexter-Scott. Both Lara and Tom have worked with the company before and have amazing ideas of how this show is going to look.
Finally, the movement direction on the show will be in the capable hands of Ben Moores whose beautiful movement work was a great success in “Fugee”, the last show that norfox did.
I bet you’re wondering how this is linked to the Elvis Costello song that we’ve added to this post? Well… to be honest we aren’t sure yet… But this is one of the many great things we’ve come across as we’re researching for the show and is the kind of off the wall discovery that makes creating theatre so exciting!
Keep up to date with how the show develops here, or visit its own website to find out more.
